For Milan Design Week 2011, world renowned French crystal company Baccarat showcases a new collection of lighting solutions as designed by eight international designers: Alain Moatti and Henri Rivière, Arik Levy, Eriko Horiki, Jaime Hayon, Michele de Lucchi, Philippe Starck and Yann Kersalé. Within this Highlights Collection, Philippe Starck designed the Marie Coquine Chandelier, where he whimsically fused a candelabra with an umbrella. Other designs range from contemporary reinterpretations of classic chandeliers to complete contemporary variations, like Starck's, where traditional heritage is fused with wonderful modernity.
