Slide Connects Penthouse Condos

You just have to look at houses with a three-story slide or a pirate ship bedroom to know that playgrounds are inspiring architectural ideas. This steel slide, designed by Turett Collaborative Architects (TCA), connects two penthouse condos in the East Village of New York City. Identical bedroom units, which sit one on top of the other, are transformed into a duplex 2-bedroom home with the ability to descend by using the stairs or the slide. The half-tube stainless steel slide starts on the second floor, near the office, and ends below, near the living and dining areas.
